Bottomless Summer @ Central

Yes, Last night we went to Central BBQ Boy (Malugay) and GOT DRUNK!
Drinking SPREE Of different Beers like San Mig Light, Tanduay Ice, and Pilsen.
Unlimited choice of Central Cocktails like Badtrip, Badgirl, Badboy and a lot more!

I'm still wondering how I was able to go home, why I have scratches on my right arm, and why I only got Php 300 left on my purse.

Alcohol doesn't cause hangovers, waking up does!!

Pahiyas Festival 2011

Pahiyas Festival is celebrated every May 15th by people of Lucban, Quezon. It is their way of thanksgiving for a good harvest. Each house was decorated by colorful fruits, vegetables, and rice wafers or Kiping. Usually, after the festival, those Kipings that were used as decoration will be cooked as rice chips.

kiping or rice wafers

Last May 15, 2011, I joined a group of pexers and friends to enjoy the Pahiyas Festival. We rented 2 vans since we are a group of 16.Meeting place was at Jollibee, Shaw by 3am.

We arrived at Lucban around 6:30am so we went to Kamay ni Hesus first to attend the mass.
(but this is a different story)

So after Kamay ni Hesus, we proceed directly to enjoy the Pahiyas Festival. Adorned with decorations, every house was worth the honor to be recognized for creativity.

Enjoying Pahiyas Festival

Around noon time, after going to Lucban Church and eating some free small servings of Pansit Habhab, we were so hungry and a lot of people were already eating. We don't have any place to eat or even sit. We decided to check Buddy's but its already close. Good thing I found Cafe San Luis. :)

After taking a lot of pictures, we then proceeded to see the Float parade. We waited for almost 2 hours but they were still unprepared. So I went to the next street to check the carabao parade.

Around 4pm, we gathered around Cafe Milagrosa before departure. This is my first time to enjoy Pahiyas Festival and will surely go back.

Punto Miguel, Laiya Batangas

Local Resource Planning team held their Summer Outing at Punto Miguel, Laiya Batangas last April 16 - 17.
We rented a non airconditioned Jeepney worth Php 8500 pesos for 12 hours and additional 200 pesos of each hour after, pricey right? I can't imagine what we looked like since we almost had a 4 hour ride to Laiya.
We rented 2 Villa, 1 and 2 worth Php 6000 per overnight (with mezzanine), aircon, rate valid for 8 persons per villa. In excess of the 8 persons, additional Php300 per person, maximum of 12 persons per villa. Each villa has 2 double deck double-size beds on the ground floor for the 8 persons and 2 double-size bed mattress sets on the mezzanine level for the 4 persons. Own toilet and bath.

I was actually expecting to see really nice white sands, shoreline and clean beach. When we went there, a lot of boats were docked on their shore. I can't help but compare this beach to Munting Buhangin, which I think for me is way way too nice than this beach. I maybe bias, because last week I went to Panglao Bohol, which I think I need to blog too.

Punto Miguel's shoreline were short, next to them is Sigayan Bay and Paseo Verde. Few trashes on the beach comes with lot of seaweeds and dead corals. I tried to stay positive and relax, enjoy the day with the team, drink a lot of tanduay ice, beer and tequila, and had FUN!

I'm in no place to complain, this trip is FREE!!

Update:

You can also check Residencia Laiya for group accomodation! Best for team buildings and large groups! :)

Bocao Beach

This is the place where we camped out, ate dinner (budol-budol style), set up our bonfire and drink a lot of vodka and brandy! We first introduced ourselves and how we joined the group. After getting to know each other stage, few personal questions were asked.

budol-budol style

Okay, everyone agreed, "what happens in Polillo stays in Polillo."

After drinking, lights out! Actually, flashlights out!
Too bad, it rained, I'm not sure if its heavy but I know my arms were wet while sleeping.

good morning!!

We woke up around 5:30 am, ate breakfast, few dips and photo ops, took our lunch, then we headed back to Manila.

My all in expenses = 1400 pesos, including a Polillo Island shirt! :)

Thanks to our hosts Sir Rowell and Barbs!!
