Wake up call was 4am. We need to make sure that we board the first boat to Camiguin. We rode the cab going back to Agora Terminal. We really have no idea what bus to ride going to Balingoan Port. We asked some locals and were informed to get the first trip of Philtranco Bus going to Pasay. After 1 hour wait, we were informed by the bus driver that they need to fix something first. whew! So then we get off the bus, asked some locals again, good thing we were able to catch the first bus to leave the terminal going to Butuan City. (without knowing that we left behind our Pastel inside the Philtranco Bus). Suupper!
After 2.5 hours, we arrived at Balingoan Bus Terminal, walked about 5 minutes to get to the Port of Balingoan paid the tickets (around 200) plus the environmental fees..etc. The ferry boat took us 1.5 hour wait going to Benoni Port, Camiguin Island! Ferries from Balingoan Port to Benoni, Camiguin leave almost every hour from 5Am to 5PM, travel time is two hours.
Welcome Camiguin Island!
After 1.5 hours of getting bored, (lol!), atlast we arrived at Benoni Port around 9am. From our experience, we didn't really get a tour guide beforehand. There were a lot of multi cab service that costs Php1500 for a whole day city tour. You can also rent a motorcycle for Php500 for 24 hours.
1. Sto. Nino Cold Spring
Our first stop was Sto. Nino Cold spring. Entrance fee was Php 40 and paid the cottage for Php50. There were a lot of Restaurants (Paluto) outside the Spring and we get to enjoy their delicious Kilawin, Grilled Fish and Surol (Chicken with Coconut Milk) for Lunch plus Buko Juice! Lunch costs us Php850.
**I'll be posting a separate blog for Camiguin Accomodation**
**I decided to create separate posts for our Camiguin City Tour to include more pictures since Camiguin has a lot to offer for Tourists!
Next stop: Soda Water Swimming Pool
