SSS ID: How to Apply and Get an SSS ID?

Out of nowhere, i decided to get my SSS ID at SSS near YMCA, SM Manila and Manila City Hall. aActually, i really don't need one as i already have a passport and voters id (to complete requirements needed, either to get a loan or whatever). Aside from that, i can apply for SSS Loan without the need to pass any SSS ID. ( i'm quite a fan of SSS and Pag ibig Loan).

Alright! 8:00am i arrived at SSS Manila. Nice. Oh well, i was told by the guard to fall in line. So more wait. While waiting, i watched the children taking up swimming lessons at YMCA (read: green with envy)
Once you get inside SSS, you first go to Counter A (General Info and Forms) to get the E-6 form and they will give you a number too.

Whoa!! It's just 8am and there's a lot of people waiting! booooo!!!

It's just great that I don't need to wait with them. All i did was fill up the form and proceeded to Counter E for screening of Application.

y

Waited for like 2 minutes then someone called my name to fall in line since they still need to screen my application. I need to present 2 valid ID's. If you have a passport, it will suffice. :)

Then someone will check the system for you data. After you get approved, you will then proceed to ID Capture counter.

Smile! :) I was told to remove all my earrings (read: i have four on my right and 1 on my left.) hairclips etc..
Thanks to rick for this pic! lol

They will get your signature and fingerprint in the scanner then will provide you with the slip so you can get your loan. lol. I was told to wait for 6-12 months to receive the ID. nice!! :)

Unified Multi Purpose Identification Card. :)
This is a unified ID. Your SSS, GSIS, Pag-Ibig, and PhilHealth numbers all in one!

Get your now! Its Maid in the Philippines!

Update!

My SSS ID!

American Idol Finale: Jessica Sanchez vs. Phillip Phillips

Entertainment:

Who's gonna be the next American Idol ? Is it the 16 year old Jessica Sanchez or the juicy (lol) Phil Phillips?
Yesterday, the two finalist faced off and performed three songs each. Simon Fuller chose the first song, then the contestant's favorite song from the season, and lastly, they both picked the song that will become their single if they win the next American Idol.
For Simon Fuller's selection: Jessica sang "I Have Nothing" by Whitney Houston while Phil Phillips sand "Stand by Me" by Ben King.

For the second round: Sanchez chose "The Prayer" by Celine Dion and Phillips chose "Movin' Out" by Billy Joel.
For the winning single, Jessica sand "Change Nothing" and Phil sang "Home.

Its down to Philip and Jessica.
Both deserved to win the crown! (though i like Joshua Ledet more than Phil.heheh)

Philip is amazing and he plays his guitar with passion while Jessica is by far a better singer but Phil definitely has a Fan Club!! waaaaa......

2 - 1. Jessica got 2 rounds while Phil got 1 round!

Try to close your eyes and listen to both singers and choose who win this competition!

Who will be the Next American Idol? Let's find out later!

**I definitely want Jessica Sanchez to win! :)

Aguas Azules Resort, Angono Rizal

UPDATE:

Resort is until 6PM only. Day tour only. They have cottages and entrance fee is Php200. Cabanas ranges from 300-750.

I already posted about Aguas Azules Resort located at Angono Rizal before but I wasn't able to post more pictures that is why i'm sharing you more pictures to showcase one of the best resort I've been to at Rizal.

They still don't have any website, (i tried researching but no avail..)
How to go there: One of my friends told me that from Manila, you need to ride an FX that will pass along Binangonan Highway then drop off point is Balaw Balaw. From there you can ask how to go to Aguas Azules.

In case anyone knows how to go there, please leave a message so we can update this post and share it to everyone!

More pics: ( i just wanted to share how beautiful this resort is)

Definitely Maid in the Philippines.

Residencia Laiya, Batangas

Last March 2012, we had our Workforce team building at Laiya Batangas. And they chose Residencia Laiya for accommodation since we were like 30-40 in the group! (huge crowd. i know right!)

I didn't bothered to ask how much they paid to rent such big house. ( who the hell asks their bosses regarding the budget!hahha!) but i saw this on their account. This might help us to know the budget! lol

Yeah right! Too expensive! They have a lot of rooms though. The house is great. Squeaky clean! A good place for team buildings! At the back of the house, there's a huge space to do the activities ( we don't have any), or eat together and do your drinking sessions!

Now, there's a catch! LOL! It's NOT a beachfront house!! Honestly, i thought its beachfront because of the pictures i saw on their page. The house is surrounded by other beach resorts around Laiya. The funny thing is, it is next the Punto Miguel ( i blogged about it when we had out team buidling last year!! ) Check out my Punto Miguel post. Therefore, they share the same shoreline! ahahaha!!! The public shore was surrounded by a lot of people and drinking crowd.

From Residencia Laiya, its a 2 minute walk to the beach (depends on how you walk, of course). Punto Miguel's rooms were even nearer the beach! Coz' at Residencia Laiya we still need to walk past another resort to reach the shore.

We actually rented the whole house and they allowed us to cook (they cook!). I just don't know if they paid any for the use of the gas and the kitchen utensils but i know that they paid 150 for each plate of breakfast. (tapsilog -- beef, rice and egg)

One more thing, there is no Pool. So we have no choice but to go to the beach. And aside from that, the caretakers where everywhere, they where there the whole time. (not that i really care!) I like Burot Beach at Calatagan more!

Again, I am in no place to complain, this trip is (again..drum roll please!!)FREE!!!

Burot Beach, Calatagan Batangas

I kept on posting at pinoy exchange where on earth lies Burot Beach? Right, Burot Beach is located at Calatagan, Batangas. The Elizalde Beach (or the Burot Beach) has white sand and clear water! It is undeveloped, no hotels, no resorts but you can rent tables, tents and cottages for a minimal fee. (quite expensive for me!)

A group of pexers where organizing a day tour at Burot Beach, while my co-workers wanted to go there too! So what i did was i asked our organizer, (thanks barbs!) if our group can join forces with them. She then agreed and we rented 2 vans for Php6000 each. Atleast less the stress and hassle of commuting and texting tricycle drivers to take/fetch us to and from the beach.

For commuters:
Proceed to Mcdonalds MRT Taft, along Sogo Hotel (*wink*), beside Mcdonalds, you will see vans and buses going to Calatagan as early as 4am, fare is Php180. Travel time is approximately 3-4 hours depending on the traffic (especially if you're going back to Manila!! heavy heavy traffic!) Bus stops at Calatagan Market, where you can buy your food and drinks and stuffs you need at the beach. From there, hire a public tricycle to take you to Burot Beach and to fetch you the next day or oh, common, if you wanna go home! lol

Where Pexers meet Startek's Workforce team.
Meeting place was at Mcdonalds Edsa, along LRT Edsa Taft station around 3:30am. We bought some food for breakfast while waiting for the others to arrive. Oh well, actually yesterday, we went to Cash and Carry to buy stuffs we need, like chips, bread, canned goods, and Tupperware as we planned to bring cooked rice (courtesy of mee!! :))

We dropped by the market to buy cold cuts we need for barbeque and some fruits and veggies too.
We arrived at around 8:00am, there were a LOT of people at the beach with their own tents and rented tables. Our group pitched our tents and immediately asked the caretaker if we could rent some grills so we can grill our Liempo! That's worth Php20. We also rented a bamboo bed, lol, (can't think of any words) worth Php150.

By the way, there's a small store selling cold drinks, food and ICE! (worth Php20 for small piece), too expensive but hey,we really need it for our drinking session! (right guys??)

After some barbeque-ing, our hungry stomach's were now FULL! (*burp), now time for some party party!
We actually just bought 4 "the bar" ( a kind of cheap but nice tasting liquor ) and played cards (with bet)!!

Burot Beach is a perfect place for a cheap weekend getaway!
Breakdown of expenses:
Php445 -  transportation (Manila-Burot Beach-Manila)
Php60   -  Day tour Fee at Burot Beach
Php150 - Food and misc
Total of: Php655 (cheap eh??)

More pics:

You can also rent this floating cottage for a minimal fee.

We actually saw a lot of starfishes, sea urchins, sea cucumber and some weird looking sea creatures.

I know, this team enjoyed the beach. why? they haven't gone to any beaches and it is almost the end of summer! hahhaa! (pathetic! lol! just kidding guys!, my supervisor was actually with us! Boss, i care about my job!)

For those with kids, please be extra careful, there's a lot of (non stinging?) jellyfishes, though i have this long rashes and i know that those jellyfishes were the culprits! One in our group was stung by a sea snake and sea urchin ( do they sting?) nahhh!!! i dont know!!!

We asked the drivers if they can fetch us around 6:30pm so we can still watch the sunset!
Breathtaking view!

Elizalde Beach or Burot Beach or whatever was bought by SM. The security guard told us that SM bought 110 hectares of land, hmm, therefore, they will develop this beach to something like Punta Fuego or Hamilo Coast. naaahh!!! Good thing, i was able to go here before that happens!

On our way home, we were caught up by heavy traffic! Too hassle for commuters. I would really suggest, if you're a group of 14-15pax, please just rent a van! :)

Happy Weekend~

St. James Academy Batch 2002 -- the Reunion

I've read somewhere (of course, over the internet!!) three reasons why high school reunion should not exist.

1. I will never achieve enough to make my enemies suffer.
2. It will really be awkward to see all those people you had s3x with.
3. Odds are, If I want you in my life, you're already there.

Oh well, Reunions can be meaningful and has a reason, well at least to meet everyone, once in a while, in our case, to meet everyone after 10 years at Perlas Resort, Bulacan. (thank you so much Jeff Tejada, for making this possible)

Teachers arrived late except for Sir James (our Math teacher), Filipino time is Filipino Time. (lol)

Certificates were given as token of appreciation to those who attended plus a cute mug and some freebies!

I know, the above pic were quite -- fugly. I had my pc reformatted. No applications yet! thanks MSPAINT!
