My secret happy place - a resort in Batangas

I've been to this secret happy place to celebrate my birthday yesterday! :)
Last year, I celebrated my birthday by backpacking Davao-Cagayan de Oro-Camiguin-Davao!

We arrived at Davao and by evening we went straight to Cagayan de Oro to try White water rafting  which was our first time, then enjoyed the Camiguin (wet) City tour for the entire day then rented a boat to visit the famous White Island. the next day and tried snorkeling at Giant Clams Sanctuary which was my first and last since i thought i was gonna die. After that we headed back to CDO, then back to Davao. The next day, we decided to visit Davao Crocodile Park, which is a must to visit, since you haven't visited Davao if you haven't brushed elbows with Pangil, the second largest crocodile in the country. The next day was our Pearl Farm day tour but we were too late, so we decided a detour at Maxima AquaFun, Samal island and stayed overnight. We decided that we need to go and visit Pearl Farm Beach Resort the next day and found out that i expected too much. lol

Such a beautiful place! All praises to this resort! I'll be blogging about the place maybe later or tomorrow!
Kinda pricey for a regular employee like me but heck, it's all worth it!!

Lakeshore, Pampanga - a Pre-nuptial venue

Last friday, my friends, Tanya and Mike held their pre-nuptial photoshoot at Lakeshore, Pampanga.
We rented a van which costs P3500 for the entire day including gas. (not bad, eh)

Lakeshore was an hour and half drive from Manila. We passed by North Luzon Expressway and made an exit at Mexico, Pampanga.

The place was beautiful and serene. Lakeshore is definitely a  pre-nuptial photoshoot venue and a pefect weekend getaway place! There is a twelve-hectare man-made lake where visitors can go sailing (or swimming perhaps).

There's an island with a pool in the middle of the man-made lake where you can reach by riding their barge.

I believe it costs 3000 for the venue plus food (for the bride and groom to be) from their restaurant ( The Lighthouse Grill). Pricey i think considering that they don't have a private AC room. They changed outfits in their public CR. Plus the food at The Lighthouse Grill were pricey too. They also don't provide electric fans. I can't say they don't care about you but yes, they don't. (imo)

These are the unofficial photos since i'm the one who took the pictures. I'm no photographer but i guess i did good. Not the best but still i liked them. :)
They hired CGM Studio for the P&V  which costs 60 freakin' thousand. A big no-no for me if i were them.

The Lakeshore also offers overnight package around Php3500. :)

Justice for Khristine Dawn Concepcion: A Co-PLMayer.

Yes, this is a travel blog but I am giving this space to a schoolmate, that I may not have known her but I am hoping that justice will prevail.

Last Wednesday, a victim who was identified as Khristine Dawn Concepcion, was shot dead by two men upon boarding a passenger jeepney along with other passengers when the suspects declared a holdup as the vehicle reached the corner of Rizal Avenue and Tambunting Street in Sta. Cruz at around 4 a.m.

The girl was Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (BLM) - BS Tourism cum laude graduate, was working at the Dusit Hotel in Makati. (News said it's Dusit Hotel but my cousin works (OJT) at Dusit and she said no)

Khristine died from a gunshot wound in her head when she refused to hand over her valuables to the armed suspects who declared a holdup inside a jeepney last March 6.

Chief Superintendent Alex Gutierrez, Manila Police District Director, said the suspect, identified as Melvin Balajadia, 29, was taken in Tacloban City where he had gone into hiding.

The report submitted to Lim said Balajadia initially decided to surrender to Senior Superintendent Roderick Mariano, MPD-Station 7 commander, and Barangay (village) Chairman Renato Jimenez of Tambunting after his father Alvino was arrested for power pilferage.

He identified the other suspect as Gerald Camua, who he claimed was the one who shot the victim.
Balajadia said Camua, 27, remained in hiding. He added that killing was not part of their plan when they held up the jeepney passengers.

Meanwhile, Lim ordered that appropriate charges be filed against Camua and Balajadia. Both were said to be members of the notorious “Sigue-Sigue Sputnik Gang” and residents of Tambunting in Sta. Cruz, Manila.

The funeral parlor is now under investigation for allegedly disrespecting the body of Khristine. According to a Philippine Star report, relatives of Kristine Dawn Concepcion who went to Universal Funeral Homes in Sta. Cruz, Manila to identify the body, they were surprised and shocked to see her body without any cloth covering her.

**dapat sa mga ganyan binibitay ng patiwarik!!!

And to everyone, always be careful, we only live once, i too had experienced being robbed with gun on my face. Always take extra precautions especially when working graveyard shifts.

Craving for crepes: Cafe Breton, Robinsons Manila

We were chatting about food when we decided to eat at Cafe Breton, Robinsons Ermita, Manila after work.
I waited Jes for like 45 minutes before she arrived at our meeting place. Ministop, Buendia. lol

Such a cozy place to dine in and hang out with friends. They don't have any regular food meal but they have good burgers and salads, crepes and omelettes.

Soon as Renan arrived we ordered of our and had some chit-chat while waiting! :)

Jes ordered Vanilla Liegeois, costs Php130, it is creamy and chocolate-y! It is cold espresso, coffee ice cream, whipped cream & chocolate sauce. Yummy! Worth the price!

Renan ordered Bacon cheeseburger, Php230 and Breton Mozzarella Burger, Php235 which tasted good. It has a juicy beef burger patty with a mozarella and served with a side salad. Yes, he ate everything!

I was craving for crepes so i ordered Fantastic Pinay, Php235, this crepe is filled with mango cubes topped with nuttela, plus whipped cream and chocolate sauce! Yes, it tasted good but i don't think it is worth my money. I should've gotten Crepes and Creams cookies and cream !

After that, we went to Central Padre Faura for some Badtrip! haha! :)

Talk about wasting money!

Fish Feeding at Solenad, Nuvali in Sta. Rosa Laguna

We were on our way to Tagaytay for a brunch buffet at Bag of Beans when we passed by Nuvali. I asked Boss Chel if we can drop by later before heading home.

It was almost 2PM when we arrived at Solenad 1, Nuvali. There's a lot of restaurants and activities to do there like Fish Feeding, Biking and Water Taxi ride.
