What to do in Dumaguete: Foodtrip!
We arrived at Dumaguete Sea Port around 3:30PM. Soon as we arrived we walked all the way to the ever Famous Silliman University which was founded 1901 according to the photo. Please note that this is a very tiring day. Wala kaming ibang ginawa kundi lumakad ng lumakad ng lumakad!
pangit ng mga pics ko!!!
Much better :)
Okay, not sure if all of you would like to do this, but, we walked from Dumaguete Port to Palengke!!!
1. Painit sa Palengke
Note: I wouldn't suggest eating Painit sa tanghaling tapat at kasikatan ng araw. Sipping a hot cup of chocolate in the middle of the day, for me is not advisable. Ang init init na nga, iinom ka pa ng mainit! So redundant na!
I just want to make sure we follow the itinerary na ginawa ko so pinush ko padin ang Painit sa Palengke kahit mainit and it turned out na worth it padin naman dahil yummeeeh siya! Yung food ha! :)
see may dala talaga akong dslr
So, busog na kami, so naglakad na naman kami papunta sa Dumaguete Church (ST. Catherine of Alexandria). There's an on-going mass that time.
Dumaguete Bell Tower
busog lang ako.
We went to Ceres Terminal muna atleast to know where it is located and to also ask what time is the last trip. So nagtryk kami going here.
2. Panda Ice Cream Haus
Aside from the fact na hindi naman alam kung nasaang lupalop ng Dumaguete ang fried ice cream, pagod na kaming maglakad so we decided to ride a tryk nalang. At katabi lang pala siya ng Silliman University.

3. Sans Rival Cakes and Pastries
Sans Rival Cakes and Pastries is near Dumaguete Boulevard. And since masyadong mahaba ang boulevard, malayo padin ang nilakad namin. Papunta na naman ng palengke. lol Busog padin kami from eating at Painit sa palengke and the fried ice cream pero wala na kaming matambayan.

4. Rizal Boulevard
It was a long long day. we were tired of walking and eating so we decided na tumambay nalang sa boulevard at tignan ang mga taong dumadaan.
Sobrang tagal namin tumambay. Gang inabutan nalang kami ng dilim.
So kakaselfie ko dito sa tabing dagat, hindi ko napansin na me (taong grasa) not sure how to say it in a nice way na dumaan kumakain ng fish cracker. Tinitignan ni xave at baka itulak daw ako. The suddenly.. it rained fish crackers. Haha. binato nalang ako ng fish cracker!!!
Pag dapit hapon na marami ng food sa boulevard! Nagset up sila ng tables and chairs.
uy may nagdate!
We ordered penoy, squidballs and tempura. (naniniwala ako na KIKIAM to!)
5. Jo's Chicken Inato
Jo's chicken inato is near Silliman University, a few meters away from Rizal Boulevard, near the port.
Busog na busog pa din ako pero i dont want to miss the chance of dining here. Sabi nila, masarap daw e!
that's a live chicken
Food tasted great. Masarap ang pagkakamarinade ng chicken! :) Thumbs up! I love chicken naman kasi!
And susunod na ipapasok ko sa bibig ko ay isusuka ko na. So para naman bumaba ang kinain namin, we decided na maglakad nalang going to terminal na uber layo. We passed by the Belfry tower again and lit some candles.
Lit some candles and prayed for guidance and good health. :)
Ahaha. Ang sakit pala sa mata ng photo. :P
Ayoko ng maglakad. We flag a tricycle going to Ceres terminal. When suddenly.....
Hinuli kami ng mga nakamotor. Not really kami, but the driver na sinasakyan namin. Really??? Then i found myself somewhere unexpected talaga.
at the police station
They were all speaking visayan language, though i can relate naman din and understand them. Then i asked si kuya na nakastripes kung ano ba siya, hindi siya sumagot. I then asked the police kung ano bang posisyon nitong si kuya na nanghuli. nakakaloka, volunteer lang naman pala at sobrang yabang niya??
And tagal pa namin sa police station and that old lady sa left ng photo, ay nasa table kanina at umiiling iling pa ng kinukuha yung testimony ko na parang hindi siya naniniwala. I then asked her, "ikaw? sino ka naman?' how rude of me pero nakakapikon kasi eh. It was my first time sa dumaguete and ganun yung experience namin? Hello Dumaguete Tourism? Seriously?
Okay, im back na sa Ceres Terminal.
Non air conditioned bus going to Bacolod is not so nice and really uncomfortable but yes, that's the last trip going to Bacolod and there is no way we are missing this trip.
By 10:45PM, our bus left the terminal. OFF to Bacolod, the city of Smiles. :)
Total Expenses from Day 2 foodtripping.
Total expenses for the day amounts to: Php1616.
PS: All photos were taken from my iphone. No edits. No filters. As is yan for you guys to see the real view or whatever of the place. What you see is what you get ika nga!
