We arrived at Ceres Terminal Bacolod around 4:20am. My initial plan was to just wait somewhere Bacolod till morning then go straight to Silay. Sounds fun right? Haha. My concern is that, wala naman kaming reservation and ang unang naisip ko na cheapest accomodation is Ong Bun Pension House Bacolod.

The problem is napakahaba pala ng Luzuriaga. We paid 60 pesos which is fine kasi naiinis nga ako at ayoko nga mag check in. Sayang pa yung pera!

So after what happened sa Siquijor na naligaw kami, at nakarating ako ng presinto sa Dumaguete, here's what happened. After a minute may nagbubukas na door! Nakakaloka!!! Nagtatakbo talaga ko when i realized na 223 pala yung room namin. Nakakahiya talaga!!

After mag freshen up, nakatulog kami. We woke up 7am!!! My goodness talaga tanghali na!!!

From Ong Bun Pension House, sumakay kami ng Jeep going to BATA then alight North Terminal then ride another jeepney going to Silay.

Our first stop: El Ideal Bakery. (dito mismo kayo bababa)

El Ideal Bakery is the oldest bakery in Silay City. It was established in 1920. Famous for their guapple pies.

Meron din silang mga pasalubong. :)

We decided na dito na magbreakfast. Medyo pricey yung food nila with small servings. Nothing fancy, so so lang yung food nila. I should've ordered their guapple pie. Sayang. Next time.

It was a Monday and sarado ang Balay Negrense.

Balay Negrense

So more lakad na naman kami. Medyo nakakalito padin ang google maps.

Cinco De Noviembre

Nakakafrustrate, wala kaming mapuntahan or mapasukan. We were trying to look for Holifena Ancestral home pero hindi namin talaga makita. We ended up going to the church.

San Diego Parish Church

It was still early so we decided na mag ikot ikot pa to find Holifena Ancestral House baka we get lucky na open sila ng may magawa naman kami. And good thing, after few minutes, we found it at last!

Sir Mon was so accomodating. He informed us na pag Mondays daw at close daw talaga ang mga Museums. Inikot namin the entire house. And promise, mas maganda pa yung ancestral house compared to National Museum. We get to see original paintings and some sketches ni Dr. Jose Rizal when he was young. The house was really something.

Imagine seeing one of the world's smallest doll, smaller than a rice grain! It's priceless talaga.

We said our goodbyes to Sir Mon then we went back to the main road then sumakay kami ng Ceres Bus going to Bacolod. We alight sa North Terminal ulit then we rented a tricycle going to the Ruins. Also, tell the tryk driver na wait nalang niya kayo kasi madalang ang mga tryk na pumapasok dun.

The Ruins.

Good thing andun si Roger ang sikat na sikat na tour guide ng The Ruins. Sobrang nag enjoy kami sa tour niya. We also ordered the halo halo na may brown sugar ata yun.

After The Ruins, binaba ulit kami ni Kuya driver sa  North Terminal then nag jeep kami going sa Aida's Manukan. PS: May Aidas Manukan along the road, dun kami bumama, it turned out na sarado pa sila so sumakay ulit kami ng jeep then this time bumaba kami ng SM Bacolod. Then lakad lang going to Aida's Manukan.

Inasal chicken and liver and balun balunan. Yummy ang food sa Aida's Manukan. :)

So after eating, we rented a tryk going to the Port so we can buy tickets going to Iloilo. Pero hindi kami nakabili kasi too early pa daw. So we went back to OngBun Pension house to get our bags.

We ride a jeep again then bumaba kami sa may Calea Pastries and Coffee. We wouldn't want to miss this place of course!

The best cheesecake i tasted. ever. Walang sinabi ang Banapple sa cakes nila! So after magpataba ng magpataba, we went straight to Bredco Port to buy tickets na.

We waited for 30minutes bago dumating yung ferry. When i bought the tickets, ang sabi ko sa taas lang kami pero sabi ni ate cashier, are you sure? kasi daw sobrang alon. So fine, bumili ako ng tickets sa may aircon, it turned out na mas nakakasuka kung sa ilalim ka sasakay since ramdam na ramdam mo yung pag andar ng fastcraft. kalurkey!!

We arrived at Iloilo Terminal around 6PM. Good thing, pinatawagan ko sa OngBun Pension House Bacolod ang OngBun Pension House Iloilo and finally i was able to book a fan room.

Iloilo Port

So, sa sobrang pagtitipid ko, i lied.

After mag freshen up, we went outside na to go to La Paz Market para sa La Paz Batchoy.

Story:
So hindi nagtapos sa Bacolod ang, i wouldn't say kamalasan, pero since ang hobby namin ay mag lakad ng maglakad, at sa dami ng tinanungan namin on where can we ride mga jeep going to La Paz market, may tinanungan kami na barker sabi niya malayo daw ang sakayan ng La Paz, sumakay nalang daw kami sa tryk niya at ihahatid niya kami sa sakayan. We paid 40 pesos. Ohmergerd talaga.

We ate at Netong's Batchuyan kasi type ko talaga ang lasa ng batchoy nila and maraming sangkap. First time ko nakakain sa Netongs ng nag Iloilo Day tour kami before.

Since malapit lang naman ang Gaisano Mall sa La Paz market, we decided to buy supplies na for tomorrow's activity. :) We slept early para makagising ng maaga since medyo malayo pa ang lalakbayin namin. :)

Total Expenses from Day 3 Bacolod-Silay-Talisay Tour plus Iloilo overnight

Total expenses for the day amounts to: Php3721 +_430 (calea cakes)= 4151

PS: All photos were taken from my iphone. No edits. No filters. As is yan for you guys to see the real view or whatever of the place. What you see is what you get ika nga!

This is the third part of our 8days backpacking Visayas trip.
